About Me

In 1990 I attended the Glasgow Visual Arts Studio, gaining a place Glasgow School of Art in that year. However, the time was not right for me, and sadly the place was not taken up.
Many years of informal art education followed, with hugely valuable contributions from Strathclyde University painting and life drawing classes,

I recently completed the Certificate in Higher Education in Painting with the University of the Creative Arts, participating in drawing and fine art printmaking modules as part of the course. I have also enjoyed expanding my art education through short courses and painting workshops at the Moray Arts Centre in Findhorn and the Studio Pavillion at the House for an Art Lover in Glasgow.

This year I have embraced the challenges of landscape painting in Scotland and the joys of sketching in city of Glasgow during the recent lockdown.

I work in a range of media: soft pastel and charcoal, and acrylic and watercolour paint. More recently, collage and mixed media feature in my work, with the occasional guest appearance from printmaking!

I am a member of the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA).
